Welcome to our 2013 Die Cut Tuesday New Release and Link Up
over at www.MyPaperCrafting.com ! Be sure and pop over there and see what
Melin and our other Designers have set up for this Showcase – and the FREE New
Release for today.
For today’s project I made a set of 8 cards to give as a
gift. I’d picked up the pretty
pink and sage green ‘Thinking of You’ cards with pink envelopes on Clearance at
Michaels Craft Store several months ago.
I decided to ‘perk them up’ and add a Cut File to make them a bit more
‘personalized.’ I knew I wanted to
use the ‘Tulip Medallion Flourished cf,’ as thought it would add just the right
Elegant Touch! Tulips are special to me because of my Dutch heritage and because I miss the multitudes that grew in my yard in spring back in Michigan.
Here are the cards –
I cut the motifs from white cardstock and then stamped them
with pink ink and my ‘lace’ stamp.
I adhered them to the front of the cards and then added tiny pearls and light
green gems.
This is the file I used –

Lynden, I am sure who ever you are giving this thinking of you gift set to will really enjoy having them! Such a wonderful gift to give someone! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful set of cards! I love the delicate, soft colors. I too miss the Tulips in the spring. Having been born and raised in HOLLAND, Michigan...the Tulip Time Festival was a big part of my childhood. I love how you jazzed up this stationary set. Beautiful job as always!

What a wonderful way to make a premade card set special. The cut file was the perfect addition. And the pink and sage? - yummy. This set will make a lovely gift.
