Tag: Wire! 'Just for You'

Welcome to Thursday Totally Tags ‘n’ ATCs over at MyPaperCrafting.com!  Every Thursday we on the Design Team do a team post featuring Tags n' ATC's.  We have a specific Theme each week featuring an element, technique or embellishment.  We all come up with something excitingly different – using various types of tools, etc. to create our projects...i.e., Cricut, CAMEO, Spellbinders, punches, stamps, paint, material, lace, inks, etc.   The sky's the limit!  The only restriction...  If we use SVG's or Digi's, we will only use those from the vast selection at PCW.  There are some changes coming for the next few summer months, so please keep track of things by visiting Melin’s blog – and checking back here often.  I’ll let You know, when I know how things will work out.

The Theme for this week’s projects is WIRE!   I made a Gift Tag to use at some point in the future and I had fun planning/designing/implementing that with things I had ‘just hanging around.’  - (Get it??  *smile*)

In looking through my ‘scraps stacks,’ I discovered the ‘negative’ of a cut file I used for a Tag earlier this spring.  I used it to trace the shape onto Kraft cardstock – and then I made a ‘shadow’ of it on Periwinkle blue cardstock.  I also used it as a ‘mask’ and stamped a ‘Cheesecloth’ image in Brown ink onto the Kraft cardstock Tag.  I also inked the edges of the tag.

I punched 2 holes on an angle near the top of the Tag and inserted 2 tiny square brads.  I wound thin wire around each of them, making a ‘clothesline’ from which to hang the stamped sentiment, ‘just for you,’ from a tiny clothespin, to which I also added a bit of ink.  I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with a scalloped circle punch.

I made a ‘flower’ from a grommet, wooden beads and wire.  I made 2 flowers with daisy-shaped punched pieces of herringbone cardstock. I added Periwinkle Gems to their centers.  I made a ‘bed’ of punched leaves and branches and adhered the flowers to it.  I punched tiny flowers and added the tiniest punched pieces from the leaves as centers in them, adding them here and there.

I added a Brown ribbon to the top of the Tag.  

Here is the cutting file I used - the 'negative space' left from this Tag - 'Cross in White' -  It's called, 'Elements Deco 13 Set cf.'
