Golden Bouquet Easel Card

Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
    you will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I.
Isaiah 58:9

Welcome to Digi Desserts Fridaze in connection with My Paper Crafting !    We, on the Design Team, are to create a project using a Digital File from the vast selection at MyPaperCrafting.com every Friday, share them with You and encourage You to visit over there, get the FREE Digi File for today, make a project with it and link it for all to see.  The ‘winning’ designer is highlighted next week as a Guest Designer!   It’s an easy and fun thing to do on the weekend!

For this week’s project I made an Easel Card of Encouragement using the Free File offered a few weeks ago on the TotallyTags and ATCs post on MyPaperCrafting – ‘Spring Bunch VG.’  There are usually Vintage Digi Files offered on Thursdays and I just LOVE using them on my projects and giving them ‘An Elegant Touch…’!  There are usually several ‘color options’ in each file, allowing for a vast amount of creativity along that line and sometimes I also put them in my FREE “Perfect Effects Free” program which offers even more color shading availability.  This time I used one that Melin offered in the file.  I have actually printed it in 3 of the color versions and this is the third type of card I’ve made with them in the past few weeks -  same file, different colors, different card styles.  Such Creative Fun!  *smile*

I used the golden-flower color shade of the ‘Spring Bunch VG’ for this card, printed on cream cardstock.  I cut it into an oval, using my Oval Coluzzle.

I am ‘new’ to the Spellbinders Dies and although I’ve liked the ‘lacey’ look for a long time that many of them offer, I only recently ‘treated myself’ to a Lacey Frame set.  (Then I WON a Flourish Set recently through a Bog Hop I attended!)  I cut the larger ‘base frame’ from cream cardstock – which is also the card base cardstock.  Using a layer of Wax Paper makes a Wonderful Difference in getting the cardstock out of the die!!  I inked the edges lightly in Brown.   I cut the medium-sized Frame for the Digi from Gold cardstock – (I hope you can see the shine of it!)  I cut out the center and replaced it with Brown Cardstock with the Digi adhered on top of it.  Then I adhered that BEHIND the Gold frame.  I then adhered that with foam mounting pads to the Cream base.

I discovered that I had some flowers from the $$ Store that were a perfect match to the Digi!!  I used one blossom and adhered it on a spray of punched leaves and branches.  I added Gems to the center of the artificial flower and to the centers of 3 digi flowers.

I cut a smaller frame from Brown cardstock.  I printed the verse in Brown on Cream cardstock and used a corner rounder on the 4 corners.  I adhered that to the frame.  I adhered the frame to the card base with foam mounting pads to use as the prop when opened.

Here is the Digi file I used -
