Keep quiet now! You are standing before the Eternal Lord
because the day of the Eternal One is near;
His judgment is coming. He has prepared the sacrifice,
and He has chosen His GUESTS with care.
His judgment is coming. He has prepared the sacrifice,
and He has chosen His GUESTS with care.

Hello and Welcome!
I’m excited to be doing this, my fourth post in conjunction with a group
I recently connected with after I began using my new-last-summer Silhouette
CAMEO cutting machine. It’s a monthly
post to showcase projects that members of the Silhouette Challenge Group have
made using these wonderful machines.
You'll find a list at the end here of those who are
participating this month, so you can visit them, also!
For this month’s project, I made a medley of Placecards and Cards designed by someone who offers spectacular Cut and Digi designs to those of us who have a love for using them in our creations – and many of them are FREE! What a lovely Gift to
us! Then we Gift to others! *Smile* (www.birdscards.com)
I’ve made a selection of just a few of the various styles
she has offered over the past several months. I thought they might be appropriate for weddings, showers,
luncheons, dinners or meetings.
I’ve used my favorite colors - lavender, black and sage -but they could be done in any colors. I’ve sized them to be 4” x 4”
unfolded. There is plenty of space
to write names on them. (I’ve
actually just finished addressing the Graduation Announcements in my
hand-calligraphy for a young woman near me. I would do that type of 'fancy handwriting' on these placecards.)
I began with the ‘Butterfly with Hearts’ pattern –
These are ‘Butterfly with Swishes’ placecards – I saw several programs on TV recently that said that Emerald Green was THE color for this summer's weddings - so, I added some Emeralds -
Here are two types with ‘Hearts and Flourishes’ placecards –
This ‘Circle Top’ pattern has 2 layers and I then embossed
and inked the top layer before adhering it. I added a gem to the flower and a heart to the circle.
I was thinking, as I was designing and creating, that any of these placecards could be adhered to cardstock and made into a greeting card. I did just that with the
‘Butterfly with Hearts’ pattern, adding black ribbon, gems and the ‘negative’
pieces of black cardstock from a border I had punched recently – and then one
of the ‘negative’ hearts from the Butterfly to the inside, also. One could do any style of decorative
embellishments. I made a simple
“Get well soon” card.
I enjoyed making these and I look forward to using more of
her Lovely Cut and Digital files in the future.

These are lovely, Lynden. Such a great fold to use with the silhouette!
ReplyDeleteI really love how versatile these creations are...placecards...cards...scrapbook embellishments...there's just so much creative potential. (And the one where you did embossing and inking really caught my eye. So profesh!) Thanks for participating in The Silhouette Challenge, Lynden. You always come up with such inspirational creations. Sorry there were some glitches in getting the post up today. I hope that doesn't discourage you from participating in the future!

These are really pretty Lynden. I love the "bling" you added to them. It makes them pop!
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely! They are pretty all on on their own but your embellishments and additions really takes them over the top!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always Lynden! You are so talented!
