Celebrate Cinco!! Ginger-Cilantro Margarita Tag

They CELEBRATE your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
Psalm 145 : 7

Welcome to Digi Desserts Fridaze in connection with My Paper Crafting !    We, on the Design Team, are to create a project using a Digital File from the vast selection at MyPaperCrafting.com every Friday, share them with You and encourage You to visit over there, get the FREE Digi File for today, make a project with it and link it for all to see.  The ‘winning’ designer is highlighted next week as a Guest Designer!   It’s an easy and fun thing to do on the weekend!

For this week’s project I found inspiration on Pinterest in the form of a photo and recipe for an ‘unusual,’ but tasty sounding Margarita drink – Ginger and Cilantro – both of which I really like and both are ‘healthy choices’!  *wink*  The recipe can be modified to make a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, also.

Here is the Photo – I’ll include a link for the recipe (along with many others on that site) at the end of this post.

I used the ‘D2 Tag-Flake 2g cf’ for the tag and I made my own cut file using my SCAL3 program and photos from Google Images.  I made the Margarita Glass and the Cilantro leaves. The colors aren’t showing properly and I really worked on them.  It should all be an Olive green and Sage green shade, although it looks like various shades of green and white…  ;-{    Here is my Tag –

*  The base of the Tag is Sage parchment cardstock with a second layer cut from Olive Green patterned wallpaper.  I inked the edges with Gold to coordinate with the patches of gold in the paper.     The glass is cut from Vellum.  The liquid is sage – the larger portion is under the Vellum and the smaller portion is over the Vellum.

  *  I cut some small pieces of the Cilantro for IN the drink and put a few leaves next to the glass by the flower sprig.  I cut a larger leaf from a $$Store pick into smaller pieces and added a white flower that I inked with Gold, also.  I cut a piece of Cream parchment cardstock to look like a sliver of ginger to hang on the edge of the glass

*  I printed the sentiment, ‘Celebrate Cinco !!’ in Olive Green (Arcade font) and cut a tag.  I attached it to the glass with a small piece of gold wire -

*  I added two shades of ribbon looped and tied through a hole punched at the top.

Here is the file I used for the Tag -

So – Celebrate Cinco – and the coming of warm summer weather!
