Sure and begorrah!
‘Tis almost St. Patrick’s Day!
As a rule, I don’t usually do much for St. Patrick’s Day lately. Although in days past while
raising my children, I would decorate our home and make ‘appropriate meals’ in
keeping with whatever ‘slight’ holiday there was – any occasion to Celebrate
Life with my children! At this
time, I did think it was a good reason to Re-purpose a food jar – as I am wont
to do! – and to make a few ‘easy’ cards to send to some Special People with
whom I keep in contact from afar-
For today, I chose to make a St. Patrick’s Day Candy Jar –
and fill it with Spearmints. I
used the ‘Clovers Variety CF’ and the ‘Scalloped Circle Frame CF’ from MPC –
* I used a MS
lacey punch on the edges of white cardstock. I cut the large Flourish element from Kelly Green Stripe
paper. I added gems
(Recollection).
* I made a small gift card using the Scalloped Circle pattern and added a double Four-leaf Clover – adhering one to the lid flat and the second one I bent the leaves upward – for a 3D effect. I adhered
it to the lid.
I then made a card using the same pattern.
* I used an 8.5
x 11” piece of sage cardstock, folded in thirds on the 11”edge. I punched the front
edge, added a ribbon border, added a ¾” paper border on the inside
edge to show through the punched edge, adhered the cut design and added gems
and pearls. (Recollections)
These are the cutting files I used today – using my SCAL3
and Silhouette CAMEO –
Do you do anything special for St. Patrick’s Day? I miss making Corned Beef and Cabbage,
Colcannon and Soda Bread for my family… - Thank You for visiting here today!!
Be sure to check out Melin’s post for the FREEBIE File for
today and then make something and link up over there. I look forward to seeing YOUR creations! Come back again and visit soon - ;-}
