“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You
are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,
who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here.
See the place where they laid
him.

of "Paper Crafter"
Format: Each day the designers were given a “theme” to work
with, so each day will be different. We will also have a daily FREE Cutting File and a daily FREE Digital Stamp-Printable along with
some FREE Royalty-Free Vintage
Graphics. Today's theme:
Today’s Theme is for the month of March, during which we
celebrate Easter and Passover. I
decided to make a card representing the miracle that although Jesus died on the
cross on what we call Good Friday, He did rise from the grave three days later on
what we celebrate as Easter Sunday.
Card closed - Cross inside shows through Vellum |
Card slightly open - |
* I cut the
card from lavender cardstock, using the ‘Scalloped Card Set cf.’ I then embossed the front of it using
the polka-dot embossing folder and my Cuttlebug. I lightly inked the raised dots with a Pearlescent ink.
* I cut an oval
of Vellum slightly larger then the hole left by the previous cut and adhered it
to the card.
* I used the
‘3D Bow and Oval Frame cf’ and cut it from purple polka dot cardstock, then
placed it over the Vellum.
* I cut the
‘Cross and Medallion cf’ from black cardstock and adhered on top of the
previous layers. I then carefully lined up the cross cut from
the design to the inside of the card, so that it would show slightly beneath
the Vellum when closed.
* I punched
leaves and tiny flowers using my MS punches, inked the edges, curved all of the
pieces using my embossing tool on a foam mat and then adhered them to the
card. I added tiny pearl gems to
the flowers.
* Using my
Photoshop 10 program, I typed the sentiment for the card front and inside,
printed them, punched them using my scalloped circle punch, inked the edges and
adhered to the card using PopDots for a raised effect. I made sure to place the
inside sentiment so as not to be seen through the Vellum. There is room to sign the card toward
the ‘margins’ outside of the Vellum oval area – or on the back of the card.
