2 Chronicles 7 : 14-15 Card

…If my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray,
seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven,
forgive their sin and heal their land.   Now my eyes will be open and
my ears will pay attention to the prayer made in this place.
2 Chronicles 7: 14-15  (CJB)

Welcome to Digi Desserts Fridaze in connection with MyPaper Crafting   We, on the Design Team, were to create a project using a Digital File from the vast selection at MyPaperCrafting.com for today.

We have just gone through a season of 'political unrest’ in our wonderful country and on Tuesday we all voted for a President to lead us for the next 4 years.  Whatever your feelings about the outcome of the vote, we should move on together, work together and pray that our leaders will make the Best decisions for the good of All.  These verses have been posted and passed around often during the past several months and I feel the admonition is still viable for future days.

For this week’s digi-project I decided to make a card with one of Melin’s Scripture verse digis – ‘2 Chronicles 7: 14-15.’  There are several scriptures available in the digital file section of the site.  I also used the ‘Oval Flourish Frame’ cutting file for this project.

Here is the card I made –

I inked the edges of a gray cardstock card with black ink.  I transferred the .pdf file of the verse to a .psd file in PS 10 so that I could change the size to fit the front of my card.  I then sized and cut the frame from black cardstock, embossed it and inked it with silver ink.  In keeping with an Autumn/Patriotic Theme, I punched little maple leaves from red, white and blue cardstock, adhering them on the frame.  I added round black gems to the four corners.

Here is the FREE digi-file for this week at My Paper Crafting.  Be sure to stop over there, if you haven’t already, see all of the other creative projects, get the file, make a project of your own using a digi-file from My Paper Crafting and then link it there so we can see it, too!

NOTE:  There has been a permanent change to the name of Melin’s blog and site.  Formerly known as ‘Cooking with Cricut,’ it is now ‘My Paper Crafting.’  Everything else is the same wonderfulness  – just a name change!   ;-]

Be sure and watch for our '25 Days of Christmas' - December 1 - 25 - with LOTS of ideas for the whole year!

  1. Beautiful project. I love the colors and love how you took such a controversial topic and created one about working together for the good of our country.

    1. Thank You for stopping by and for your kind comments. It's a hard time to be encouraging to each other with things the way they are, but necessary - ;-} I have a 'specific someone' in mind for this card -

  2. I found this card to be particularly beautiful. The Oval Flourish Frame was quite elegant and I liked the r/w/b maple leaf embellishments.
