Welcome to Digi Desserts Fridaze in connection with My
Paper Crafting ! We, on the Design Team, are to create a project using a
Digital File from the vast selection at MyPaperCrafting.com every Friday,
share them with You and encourage You to visit over there, get the FREE Digi
File for today, make a project with it and link it for all to see. The ‘winning’ designer is highlighted
next week as a Guest Designer!
It’s an easy and fun thing to do on the weekend!
For this week’s project I used the Free File offered 2 weeks ago on the TotallyTags and ATCs post on MyPaperCrafting. There are usually Vintage Digi Files
offered on Thursdays and I just LOVE using them on my projects and giving them
‘An Elegant Touch…’! There are
usually several ‘color options’ in each file, allowing for a vast amount of
creativity along that line and sometimes I also put them in my FREE “Perfect
Effects Free” program which offers even more color shading availability. This time I used one that Melin had offered – in which she changed the original bright colors to a ‘coolwash’ and subdued jewel tones. I used it last
week, also, having printed it on photo paper which produced a bright, clear
picture. This time I printed it on
white, cardstock which gave it a soft, muted effect. I made a totally
different card.
I ripped cardstock in coordinating colors to use as
mats. I adhered them each with
foam pads to make each layer raised from the one underneath. I punched the edge of a white cardstock
card. I adhered a piece of olive
green cardstock underneath the punched edge. I stamped the sentiment ('Thanks so much') in olive
green ink. I added golden yellow
gems to the flower centers in the punched edge.
Here is the file I used -

I just love that vase with flowers! Wonderful job on how you did the side of the card! Love the inside of the card as well! :)
ReplyDeleteYet another lovely card Lynden.

Pretty card Lynden! I am loving that punch and love your color combo! The vintage image of the flowers is just beautiful! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe way you incorporate the vintage graphics into your designs is masterful. This is truly a work of art.

Gorgeous Lynden. I love the punch and the beautiful digi. You even make torn paper look elegant. :)
ReplyDeleteLynden this is a beautiful card. I like that you took different color cardstock and ripped it to create the mats and I like the die cut edge. Very pretty! I am also hosting a new feature on my blog every Friday called Funday Friday challenges if you would like to play along with this week's sketch challenge, stop on by my blog hun! Have a great weekend!
