A new
command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love
one another.

Welcome to Digi Desserts Fridaze in connection
with My
Paper Crafting ! We, on the
Design Team, are to create a project using a Digital File from the vast
selection at MyPaperCrafting.com every Friday, share them with You and
encourage You to visit over there, get the FREE Digi File for today, make a
project with it and link it for all to see. It’s an easy and fun thing to do on the weekend!
Here are the two projects I made for today. I used the ‘Roses Double DS’ for both
projects and will explain how I made them look so different. One is a Write-on Frame - a 5 x 7" Shadowbox from the $$Store and which I altered - that one can use
to leave little Love Notes for a Loved One by using a Dry-Erase marker.
The other project is a card which can
be used as a Valentine – or just a note of thanks or encouragement.
Several weeks ago, I discovered a Free program Online to use
for enhancing photos. It’s
‘Perfect Effects Free’ by onOnesoftware.com. They also offer many Free online Tutorials. The stand-alone program is easy to use, in addition to my Photoshop Elements 10 that I Love! I’ve enjoyed playing with all of the effects offered and
seeing what it does to various photos.
I do have colored pencils and various markers to use in coloring items,
but I don’t feel that my ‘talents’ lie in that area so much, so I use my
printer for Digi files. Here is
the original file, made by Melin – and I’ll show several of the ‘possible alternatives’
I came up with while designing for this project so that you can get a better idea of what the
program can do. There are many
more options and combinations that can be produced with just the click of your
Mouse!
I used this combination for the Frame decor - |
I printed this combination on Vellum for the card - |
Here is the
FREE digi-file for this week at My Paper Crafting. Be sure to stop over there, if you
haven’t already, see all of the other creative projects, get the file, make a
project of your own using a digi-file from My Paper Crafting and then link it
there so we can see it, too!
I'm so excited to tell you about a new twist this
term. We invite YOU to participate in our Digi
Dessert Fridaze weekly posts. Just create something using a
digital image and link up at the end of the post. If you use a Paper Crafting World image, you will
receive 2 chances to win. That's right! One lucky project
will be selected each week to receive a digital image from Paper Crafting World. If you
use a PCW file, please add PCW after your name. And,
it will be so much easier to participate with our Link Up because there's
a tab on the home page that will bring you directly to this DDF page.
You'll have until Thursday 12 noon (EST) to link up. The lucky winner
will be announced in the next PCW post on Friday.
Be sure to come back here often as I showcase other Paper
Crafted Projects and Photo Digital Restorations that I make – several days each
week. Sign up to receive my Posts
so you’ll know when I’ve posted something – usually 3 to 4 times weekly. Check out my Tabs in the Header above
to see what else I do and can do for you!
Let me know if you have questions on anything here – or if I can do
anything for You! Have a Great
Week! See you again soon!
Lynden, another fabulous week of projects from you! Those frames are simply gorgeous! Very clever for the dry erase part! Lovey card as well!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sandy.
WOW! What an awesome frame, Lynden! I am definitely going to "scraplift" that idea and make one for my daughter's room -- she'll love it. Your card is so elegant. Thanks for sharing all of the different color combinations you made using Melin's digi -- I really need to take the time and play some more with my Photo Shop program. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, ~ Jen
ReplyDeleteyour frame is beautiful!! what a great idea! coming over from jru
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Love Note Frame! I made something similar for Christmas gifts - but this reminded me that I wanted to make one for myself still too! (AND - I downloaded that same software but haven't played with it at all yet... so TWO great reminders!) Thank you! (I am visiting form JRU as well!)
ReplyDeleteThese are so awesome. You have an area of expertise that is awesome. I work with photos in PSE10, but when I see people using it for other things I'm always blown away by their creativeness. This is great!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful!! I was just thinking about a project for leaving daily notes too... so fun! I love the card. At first, I did not think it was paper. The printing on vellum and your edits just make it so gorgeous! It almost looks like wood inlay or something. I love it! :)
