Thankful for My Family -

But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children – Psalm 103:17

Here is the 2-page Layout I made for this week’s ‘assignment’ --  ;-}   The wagon wheel, cornhusks and pumpkin (embossed) are from the Autumn Splendor set.   www.scraptasticalkreations.com   The title is printed in Scrabble font. The borders, corners and leaves are from punches.  I will include photos of my family later in the spaces provided and named on the wheel.

Let your light so shine…

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  Matthew 5:16

Yesterday I posted my Altered Item - a Candle Jar a.k.a Cookie Jar.  Today as I was washing dishes I decided to use the new FREE file from www.scraptasticalkreations.com and turn an empty Hot Fudge Jar (which was given to me as a yummy TY gift a while ago!) into a Tealight Candle Jar  -  I attached the letters with eyelets to vellum and then wrapped the jar with it.  Here it is:

 11/11/11

How blessed is he who considers the helpless;
The LORD will deliver him in a day of trouble.
The LORD will protect him, and keep him alive,
And he shall be called blessed upon the earth;
And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
Psalm 41:1-3

On this Veteran’s Day - 11/11/11 - I have made a 2-page layout - representing all of the Thanks we send to our Veterans - and those currently serving our country.  My Heart and Prayers are with them ALL.  Here it is -

 I also made an ‘up-cycled’ Thank You gift from an empty-now candle jar from Michaels. It includes the recipe for Chocolate Pumpkin Cookies in the Pumpkin Card atop the jar,which will be in the jar when given as a Thank You gift -  ;-}

 I used files from www.ScraptasticalKreations.com on both of these projects.  I’m enjoying being  on the Guest Designer Team for November.

Happy Birthday for a Dear Friend -

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.  Proverbs 27:9

Friendship is such an important aspect of our lives and it is truly important to have Special Friends.  Way before the ‘BFF’ phrase was popular I had TWO of them - since our days in First Grade in MI - which was a Loooong time ago!   ;-}  One of them has a birthday this week - on 11/11/11!  I decided to put all of my ‘creative juices’ to work on an Autumn Birthday card for her.

I love ‘thinking out of the box’ so… here are the items I used from Scraptastical Kreations, as I’m a Guest Design Team member for November:

*  I began with the Scallop Circle card base from the Shaped Cards set (4 ¼” circle finished - to fit in a regular invitation envelope - A2) in Kraft cardstock (Recollections).
*  I added the Tractor Tire from the Autumn Splendor set in Brown cardstock.
*  The Scallop Circle from the Sophisticated Scallops set in Gold cardstock with twine woven through the holes and tied around the sheaf.
*  The wheat sheaf, wagon wheel and pumpkin (Cuttlebug-embossed) are from the Autumn Splendor set and are attached with Pop-Dots.
*  The leaves are made from wallpaper and a punch I have.
*  Inside, I put a 3 ½” cream-colored circle for the stamped sentiment, 'happy birthday' ($1 stamp from Michaels) and a place to write my note and signature.

It’ll be in the mail on its way to her today - and I’m on to other Projects -

I am Thankful for...

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
 1 Thessalonians 5:18

After a busy week filled with several problems on many levels - along with many blessings - I finished the projects I needed to finish by today for Scraptastical Kreations and got them posted.  Now to post them here -  It's a Blog Hop weekend for them and Treasure Box Designs, so I'll post info about that after my projects.  Please follow the Hop  and see all the great projects - and sign up for the Gifts!

Here is a 'repurposed' Pizza Pan - now a Magnetic Memo Board!  With Thanksgiving coming soon, I chose that Theme for this one.  The elements are from Scraptastical Kreations.  The little note papers in the wood bin are to write 'Thankful for...' notes and post them with the magnets.

I am...therefore, I am...

I am…therefore, I am…

I am Invisible, so I am attempting to be seen.  I am Alone, so I am attempting to be with people ‘somewhere.’ I am Hurting, so I am attempting to salve my pain. I am Creative, so I am attempting to mingle with other creative souls.

          Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive
          mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.  ~~ Hebrews 4:16

I want to share some of the things I've been working on recently - The Circle of Life (and Love!) continues -

Here is the Card -
Here are photos of the ‘First Year of Lullabies and Love’ Album which I recently made and gave to the young widow of a Marine killed in Afghanistan in July and whose baby boy was born last month.

One photo for each month of the baby's first year can
be added by the parents/family...  I've made several - just finished another for a new niece - and have found out that 2 more family babies are 'on the way'!!  ;-}

It's an 8 x 8 album - 2-page layouts for each month/lullaby -  These are the lullabies I sang to my Children and Grandchildren.
