This is what the Lord says to me:
“I will remain quiet and will look on
from my dwelling place,
like shimmering heat in the SUNSHINE,
like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”
“I will remain quiet and will look on
from my dwelling place,
like shimmering heat in the SUNSHINE,
like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”
Isaiah 18 : 4
Welcome to Thursday Totally Tags ‘n’ ATCs over at MyPaperCrafting.com! Every Thursday we on the Design Team do a team post featuring Tags n' ATC's. We have a specific Theme
each week featuring an element, technique or embellishment. We all come up with something
excitingly different – using various types of tools, etc. to create our
projects...i.e., Cricut, CAMEO, Spellbinders, punches, stamps, paint, material,
lace, inks, etc. The sky's
the limit! The only restriction... If we use SVG's or Digi's, we will only
use those from the vast selection at PCW.
There are some changes coming for the next few summer months, so please
keep track of things by visiting Melin’s blog – and checking back here
often. I’ll let You know, when I
know how things will work out.
The Theme for this week’s projects is SUN! Rather than using an actual sun, I
chose to use one of Melin’s lovely cut files of a Sunflower to depict the sun
in a faintly cloud-kissed blue sky and I incorporated the song lyrics from a
favorite Oldies tune. I also made
a Tag for the Tag, so it’s a ‘2-for-1’ Tag day!
I cut the Tag from light blue cardstock. I inked the edges with a darker blue
ink and then with gold. I faintly
inked with silver ink some scattered clouds. I cut the Sunflower from deep golden yellow cardstock, inked
lightly with brown and then gold inks.
I hand-embossed the petals to shape them for dimension, adhering them
alternately with pop-dots to give more dimension. I added a brown gem to the brown center. I inked the green leaves with gold
ink. I typed and printed the lyric
sentiment from my PSE 10 program onto cream cardstock. I punched it out with my Tag
punch. I lightly inked it with
gold ink and the edges with brown and then gold inks. I attached it to the Tag with a brown gem brad. I added a
brown ribbon loop to the top.
Here are the files I used -
