If you fully obey the Lord your
God
and carefully follow all his
commands I give you today,
the Lord your God will set you high above
all the nations on earth.
All these blessings will come on
you and
accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
You will be
blessed in the city
and blessed in THE COUNTRY.

Welcome to Thursday Totally Tags ‘n’ ATCs in conjunction with MyPaperCrafting.com! Every Thursday we on the Design Team do a team post featuring Tags n' ATC's. We have a specific Theme
each week featuring an element, technique or embellishment. We all come up with something
excitingly different – using various types of tools, etc. to create our
projects...i.e., Cricut, CAMEO, Spellbinders, punches, stamps, paint, material,
lace, inks, etc. The sky's
the limit! The only restriction... If we use SVG's or Digi's, we will only
use those from the vast selection at PCW.
There are some changes coming for the next few summer months, so please
keep track of things by visiting Melin’s blog – and checking back here
often. I’ll let You know, when I
know how things will work out.
Actually, at this point, this will be the last Tags ‘n’ ATCs until
further notice – at least for the summer. I’ll continue to post something regularly, so don’t
think that I’m stopping – just that the MPC Design Team is ‘backing off’ for a
while…
The Theme for this week’s projects is ANYTHING GOES! The freedom to do whatever one wants to
do may be a blessing – or a frustration – depending on how long it takes to
decide on what to do! Since our
Independence Day Celebration is near, I decided to do a tag with that in
mind. With my son being a Marine
Captain, I am always partial to making things with a patriotic or military
design. I couldn’t resist
including my ‘signature Blossoms’ and a little Bling here and there. If he thinks it’s ‘too feminine’ for
him, I think he might know of Someone who might appreciate it… *giggle-smile*
Here it is:
Close-up of floral spray |
Close-up of Star |
I cut a white cardstock base using a Spellbinders die. I added a piece of Star Embossed navy
cardstock and some red and white striped paper. I added a half of a white round doily Spellbinders die cut. I punched navy (MS) leaves and branches
for the floral spray base. I added
navy, red and white flowers and gems.
I added a tiny white (MS) punched butterfly at the top. I added a white punched star (Creative
Memories) to the top right of the tag and added a circlet of rhinestones on
it…reminiscent of the original 13-star flag made by Betsy Ross! I added a striped ribbon to the top – so that it could be hung – on a bottle or a gift or some place in Someone’s home…
